On the Schloßstraße I used to go to Media Markt, since it was the nearest comercial area to the Steglitzer Damm, where I stayed in Berlin. At Forum Steglitz on the Schloßstraße I had to take launch with my uncle and explain to him, why the the Versatel contract had to be renewed.... also here I bought my Canon foto camera.

I was on the corner of Nehringsstraße to Schlossstraße. Doing nothing, just looking boored arround the street. I was thinking how bad I felt about leaving Berlin tomorrow and never returning there again.
Suddenly I heard small silent wheels coming from the Schloßstraße. I ran towards the street and couldn't believe my eyes: hundreds and hundreds of people on roller skates. They were arriving and continued skating, an endless group o skaters. It seemed to me that the whole city came to skate that night.
Rapidly I go up in our apartment, put my own skates on and join the group.
We went streigth ahead on the Schloßstraße and then turned left on the Kaisersdamm. After skating for about an hour, we reached the Brandenburg Gate. There the skating ended and we all got free drinks.

There must have been at least 2000 skaters that night.
Few days later I was back home in Romania, googling on my computer for answers:
I found out that the event is named Friday Skate Blade Night and takes place every friday evening starting with 8 pm.
